Randy Cotterell ( license # MT0000002213 ) has been practicing massage therapy for quite sometime now. His studies started in the year 2000 at a school in Knoxville, Tennessee where studies in anatomy, physiology and kinesiology were studied in condiderable detail. Graduating with the most outstanding student award, he continues to strive to offer the best for his clients. Randy has continued his education with studies in Myofascial Release, Sports Massage, Aromatherapy, Hot Stone Massage, Reflexology, Ayruvedic Medicine, Thai Massage, Accupressure, Neurostructural Technique (to name a few), among many others.
With a true heart for healing and a sincere passion in his field, each client is treated with the upmost respect and anything discussed is held as confidential information. He promises to give each client the best possible service that he can offer. Randy is not afraid to be open and honest with each client which is a rare treat for any health care professional. Randy will tell you himself that he does not claim to be the best massage therapist , but he does promises to do his very best.
Randy is a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA). Continuing education is a must in the field of massage therapy and Randy has attended classes in Ohio , Illinois, Arizona, and Tennessee to name a few.
Many people veiw massage as a luxury when they should view massage as a maintenance. Your body needs to be maintained just as a car needs an oil change to work properly. If people would begin to maintenance their bodies, they will live longer and healthier lives. This is why Randy strives to educate his clients or potential clients on the importance of therapeutic massage and its many benefits such as , stress reduction, improved circulation, muscle relaxation, enhanced cellular nutrition and toxin removal from the body as well as many other benefits.

Randy has been on the finance committee of the TN chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association. During a the spring conference and general membership meeting, in 2008 he was elected as the new treasurer on the board for the TN chapter of AMTA. We are proud to say that he was re-elected as treasurer for the TN Chapter of AMTA again in 2010. Randy will still be on staff at RainDrops Salon Massage,Inc., he will just be doing alot more behind the scenes work ,which most people do not know about.
